Privacy Policy
This policy covers two things: how this website behaves, and how I handle your information in the practice itself. Both are described as they actually are.
About the website
This is a static website. There is no account to create, no Maison Prestance form that submits your details to my server, and no database behind the pages. I set no cookies and no analytics tools are currently running. If that changes, this page will change first. The site is served by Cloudflare, and like most hosting providers Cloudflare keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address and the time of your visit. Those logs sit with Cloudflare under their own privacy policy, and I do not use them to identify visitors. The pages load two typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google when the site loads, subject to Google's privacy policy.
Booking requests and WhatsApp
The website prepares booking details in your browser. When you choose to continue to WhatsApp, those details are passed to WhatsApp so that you can review and send the message. WhatsApp is a Meta service and handles that information under its own privacy terms. On my side, I read your message personally and use it to arrange and prepare your session.
Information I may hold
Running the practice means I may hold some information about you: your name and contact details, your suburb, booking details and appointment history, invoices, intake and consent information, health information that is relevant to your sessions, brief session records, and any complaint or incident information. I only hold what the work genuinely needs.
Why I use it
To arrange and deliver your sessions, to work safely with your body, to keep appropriate records of the care provided, to invoice where needed, to respond if something was not right, to meet insurance and legal obligations, and to reach you about an existing booking. I do not use your information for marketing.
Health information
Please do not include detailed health information in a first booking message. What I need to know is discussed privately before your session, and where it matters to the work I may record it. Health information is handled confidentially and carefully. That confidentiality has lawful limits: information may be shared where the law requires it, where my insurer or professional adviser genuinely needs it, or where there is a serious threat to someone's health or safety.
How long I keep information
Health records are kept for the period required by New South Wales law. For information collected while you are an adult, that is at least seven years from the last time I provided you a service. For information collected while a client is under 18, it is until they turn 25. Ordinary administrative messages that are not part of your health record do not need to be kept that long, and invoices and insurance records follow their own legal timeframes.
Access, correction and deletion
You may ask what personal or health information I hold about you, request access or correction, or ask whether information can be deleted. I will answer plainly and do what I properly can. Some information may need to be retained where required by law, professional obligations, insurance or legitimate safety requirements.
When information may be shared
Only where reasonably necessary: with your consent, with service providers I use to operate the practice, with my insurer or professional adviser, where required or authorised by law, or to address a serious threat to health or safety. I do not sell or trade your information, and nothing is shared routinely.
Privacy questions or concerns
Message me on WhatsApp and I will address it directly. If you are not satisfied with my answer, health information in New South Wales is protected by the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002, and you can raise a concern with the NSW Information and Privacy Commission (opens the official site). The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (opens the official site) also oversees how health service providers handle personal information under federal privacy law.
